The Kabbalah is the Jewish mystical system which syncretised Merkavah mysticism, Neo-Platonism, Gnosticism, Sumerian and Egyptian cosmologies. From the Middle Ages the Kabbalah was adopted into magical traditions like the Grimoires, and also became a distinct magical system called the Qabalah, which has been hugely influential in the development of Ceremonial Magick and the Western Esoteric Traditions.
